After owning several old and classic cars, (Triumph Herald, Spitfire, TR6, Maserati Mexico , Apal and Intermeccanica Speedster, AC Cobra 427 repl, Rover P6), I decided to take a look on other marques : it must be a reliable one (lack of time), a four seat (family grows), and if possible a great sportcar with mythic engine.

I choose a Porsche 911, first owned a targa, afterwords a coupe that I still have, that I now drive practically only on tracks, as I would like to keep my driving license as long as possible. In the meantime, a friend of mine came home with a magnificent Ford Mustang 67 Fastback V8, a copy of the Bullit version ! He doesn't have to say twice "do you want to make a ride", as I am a big fan of Steve Mc Queen (himself big fan of ... Porsches en Shelbys ).

After the ride I was really charmed with the smooth driving of the Mustang, also with the deep sound of the V8 engine. It was decided, one day I will have one. In 2006 I decided for some reasons to say goodbye to a 356, and purchased a Mustang Fastback at the Mustang Garage. The deal was quickly concluded, I had no other choice, as the owner told me he has one in stock two days before a big event he was organizing in the garage, and that probably such a fastback will be sold quickly. A few weeks before I took a visit to the place and was conviced about the honesty of the people there, so I decided immediately after his call (and receiving of pictures by mail) to make a money transfer to fix the car. 7R02C222573 would be mine.

The car was annouced as totally restored, and a visit a few days later can only confirm the nice restoration. No surprises, the car was indeed like described, in a perfect condition. The car has the following specifications : V8 289 2V - C4 automatic - night mist blue - standard black interior - 4 deluxe seat belts - stainless stell door edge guards - Dual exhaust - Power steering - Tinted glasses - radio with antenna - Day + night mirror - passenger side outside mirror - chrome engine dress up kit.

After a couple of kilometers, everything seems to be OK, except the water temperature which was not working, quickly solved by installing a new temp sensor. Otherwise, it's only pure pleasure.
